Darvin^® Furniture Begins 100-Year Celebration
With $5,000 Crisis Center Donation, SUV Giveaway

Orland Park, IL, March 10, 2020– When it comes to celebrating milestone anniversaries, especially those of third-generation family-owned businesses, few ever get a chance to hit the 100-year mark. For Darvin Furniture & Mattress, Chicagoland’s largest furniture and mattress store, the chance to celebrate begins this month when customers can register in the showroom until 9 p.m. March 30 for prizes, including a 2020 Ford Explorer.

From the presentation of a $5,000 check to the Crisis Center for South Suburbia and multiple drawings for recliners the weekend of March 21 and 22, Wyndham Hotel getaways, a 50-inch TV, and an iPad to the Grand Prize drawing for one lucky winner to receive a new 2020 Ford Explorer from Joe Rizza Ford in Orland Park, Darvin Furniture is focused on celebrating with its community and customers.

“With the distinction of being in business for one-hundred years, there also comes this incredible opportunity to serve generations of customers,” says Steve Darvin. “We are very excited to begin the year-long Century Celebration by not only sharing with our community – but sharing with our amazing customers.”

During the month-long celebration, Darvin Furniture & Mattress President Will Harris will present the Crisis Center for South Suburbia with a $5,000 check.

“I am honored to be presenting the Crisis Center for South Suburbia with this donation,” says Harris. “Organizations like the Crisis Center are valuable members of our community, who often handle some of the most difficult situations without fanfare or recognition.”

On March 31, Darvin Furniture and Rizza Ford will draw the names of 20 finalists who will be invited to return to the Orland Park showroom at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 4. Each of the 20 finalists will be presented a key fob from the Darvin raffle drum, with one key starting the Ford Explorer. The other 19 finalists will receive a hotel voucher for a four-day/three-night Wyndham Hotel getaway for two.

“I can only imagine what my father and grandfather might have thought about their business celebrating a 100-year anniversary,” says Darvin. “What I do know is they would have been extremely proud, and we intend to celebrate the accomplishment with as many of our customers, business partners and employees as possible.”
