Orland Park, IL, December 6, 2018 – On Nov. 28, Steve and Marty Darvin, co-owners of Darvin Furniture & Mattress, took the stage at Four Seasons Hotel in Orlando, FL, to accept the 2018 Leadership Award on behalf of their Orland Park, IL, business. It was a national honor for the Chicagoland furniture retailer that recognized its constant commitment to new initiatives, innovation and to the local community that have helped the business thrive for more than 98 years.

Sharing the national stage with other award winners that included powerhouse brands such as Amazon.com and Haverty’s, Darvin Furniture was presented the 2018 Leadership Award by Furniture Today Magazine, the furniture industry’s most recognized publication.

According to Bill McLoughlin, editor-in-chief of Furniture Today, the annual Leadership Awards begin early in the year with the creation of a nominees list that is reviewed and deliberated by the magazine staff, as well as furniture industry peers. The recipients are individuals and businesses that have exhibited the necessary qualities that place them at the forefront for sustainable success on several different levels.
