Massive Tents Help Define Annual Darvin^® Event

Orland Park, IL, June 3, 2019 – Big things have been happening at Darvin^® Furniture in Orland Park. The store has been celebrating its 99th year in business and it is preparing to roll out its annual Tent Sale, a more-than-49-year event for the iconic Chicagoland business and the region. This year’s Tent Event will open each day at 10 a.m. June 7-11, 15400 La Grange Road, Orland Park, IL.

For more than a decade, Jeremy Kochendorfer, Darvin promotional sale and e-commerce coordinator, has been taking a lead role in facilitating the Davin Furniture Tent Sale. The focal points many people associate with the June event are the two huge tents, which offer more than 12,000 square feet of space. Everything under the tents will be specially priced. A large open area outside the tents will feature one-of-a-kind and outdoor furniture items.

We will set up more than one-thousand pieces during the five-day event,” says Kochendorfer. “Inside, we will also be featuring great prices on the immensely popular power motion furniture, along with our second-floor clearance center priced up to eighty percent off.”

Darvin Furniture and Mattress, Chicagoland's largest furniture and mattress store, has made the annual Tent Sale much more than just great prices on everything from sofas and kitchen sets to mattresses, dining rooms and bedrooms. The event has become an annual ritual for many who line up prior to the opening each day.

“Our tents are positioned in our South Lot and restocked every day. Every year we have a people lining up prior to the 10 a.m. opening,” says Kochendorfer. “Locally, it really has become a South Side tradition, but we have customers who attend the sale from all over Chicagoland, including several surrounding states.”

Customers visiting during the five-day tent sale can look for the Darvin sales associates in their blue shirts to get assistance with any immediate needs. Multiple payment options will be available and delivery can be scheduled for any items purchased at the tent event.

“This is such an exciting event for all of us at Darvin,” says Kochendorfer. “We look forward to seeing everyone there.”
