April 23, 2023: Steve and Marty Darvin, third-generation owners of Darvin Furniture & Mattress, were recently honored with the City of Hope Spirit of Life Award. City of Hope is one of the nation's largest cancer research and treatment organizations and leading research centers for diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses.

This year’s campaign raised $1.7 million to advance research and treatment of cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening diseases. Today, Darvin Furniture is 100 percent employee owned. More than 200 Darvin employees participated in the event and more than 500 customers contributed to the City of Hope fundraiser leading up to the Awards Dinner.

The Spirit of Life Award is presented to individuals who exemplify the ideals and values that have guided City of Hope for a century, and whose professional and humanitarian accomplishments are worthy of celebration. Darvin Furniture & Mattress is located at 15400 La Grange Road in Orland Park, Illinois.
