Chicagoland Resident Wins 2020 Ford Explorer in Darvin® Furniture 100-Year Celebration
Orland Park, IL, August 6, 2020 – A large group of spectators gathered outside Darvin Furniture & Mattress, Chicagoland’s largest furniture and mattress
store, 15400 La Grange Road, Orland Park, Ill., and anxiously awaited a winner to be declared. Among the crowd were 17 Darvin 100th Anniversary finalists who were equally excited to see if the individual
code they had randomly chosen would be the lucky winner to open the doors to the red 2020 Ford Explorer.

The winner, Bridget Kincy-Pollard, was the third person to try her code when she won the Ford Explorer from Joe Rizza Ford. The crowd surrounding the vehicle immediately erupted as she teared up,
stared at the crowd with a look of shock, covered her face with her hands and fell into the side of the building in a dramatic outpouring of emotion. “I’m the winner!” she cried as the crowd applauded.
The celebration continued as finalists collected their vouchers for their Wyndham vacations and congratulated Kincy-Pollard on her prized Explorer. For Will Harris, president of Darvin Furniture

large,” says Harris. “Out of 5.2 million active companies with payroll in the United States, only seven-hundred have reached one-hundred years in business. We are very proud of what we have accomplished
and we look forward to a very bright future ahead of us.”
Finalist Gail Nurczyk of Shorewood, who attended with a friend, says she is a frequent Darvin customer who just bought a couch there in May. “In June I brought my friend from Barrington to Darvin
and she bought a dining room set. That’s when I entered the drawing. It’s a pretty far drive from Barrington, but I was telling her how big the store is and how you can find so many things, instead
of going all over.”
For Kincy-Pollard, who could not wait to drive her new Explorer, she could not have been happier. “I really needed a new car, I have an eight-year-old Jeep Cherokee,” she says. “My birthday was
(last week) and I just got a great present!”
