Mattress Height & Size
Today’s sleep sets are designed with the most technologically advanced materials. The premium set you are purchasing today will most likely sit higher than your old sleep set. If this is a concern, contact a Darvin Sleep Specialist who can offer options, such as a low-profile box spring and/or a low-profile bed frame.
Box Springs Are Not Flexible Like a Mattress
If you are concerned about getting a box spring through a tight area in your home, contact a Darvin Sleep Specialist who can offer a split foundation as an option for an additional cost.
Making Good Impressions
Your new sleep set will conform to your body. This is good and is to be expected. These impressions are an indication that your mattress is properly adjusting to your body. Impressions of up to 1-1/2 inches are normal in today’s thicker, premium sleep sets. Impressions of up to 3/4 inches or less are normal for memory foam sleep sets.
Rotate Your Mattress
Just like your car’s tires, a new mattress can wear unevenly if not rotated. Manufacturers recommend you rotate your new mattress at least every couple of months (two-sided mattresses should be flipped and rotated). Non-flip models will need to be rotated to help even out the wear of the mattress.
Proper Support
Today’s bedding is also built heavier for durability. An old bed frame or slats may cause a new set of bedding to sag. The manufacturers of bedding require that full, queen, and king bedding have proper center support – a rigid center leg that rests on the floor. Darvin is not responsible for ensuring you have the proper support on your existing bed or frame. Darvin does offer premium support systems that work with most beds. If your bed does not have this, contact a Sleep Specialist to direct you to the proper frame. In addition, bedding manufacturers require a matching sleep set for the warranty to be valid, with the exception of a platform or adjustable base foundation.
Removal
Darvin offers free removal and recycling of existing bedding with the purchase of premium sets. All existing bedding must be free of any stains or odors.
Protect Your Investment
Due to health issues, manufacturers will not honor the warranty on any bedding that is stained, has odors, or is abused. For this reason, Darvin offers a 10-year Mattress Protector. Ask your Sleep Specialist for complete details.
Your Nose Knows
All new foams, fibers, and fabrics may have a slight odor that will dissipate over time.
Mattress Protectors, Pillows, and Sheets
Mattress protectors, pillows, and sheets cannot be returned for any reason other than defect.
Special Orders
All bedding that is special ordered cannot be returned or exchanged. These items may have an additional waiting period.
Sleep Safer
Effective July 1st, 2007, all bedding sets (matching mattresses and box springs) are fire retardant and meet the Consumer Product Safety Commission requirements.
NOTICE: Matching a new mattress with an old foundation (box spring) may pose a safety risk. The mattress and box spring should be replaced at the same time.
Comfort Exchange Policy
The purchase and use of a mattress protector from Darvin at the time of the sale is a requirement of this program.
Returned mattresses should be completely free of any damage, odors or stains, vermin infestations especially those such as blood or urine. Darvin’s delivery personal will refuse pickup of a mattress which is in unsanitary condition, damaged or does not meet factory standards for return. Other exclusions and limitations may apply. See store for details.
