Return Policy

We are committed to your satisfaction. Returning a product can be stressful on customers, so we’re here to help you get it right the first time. Our talented product experts are available to help you select the right product for your needs and application. We encourage you to take advantage of our expertise before making your purchase.

Policies and procedures for obtaining a return authorization vary based on the reason for return. See below for more information.

Exchanges All merchandise eligible for exchange must be in new condition as received (subject to driver inspection) and made within 14 days, subject to a 20% restocking fee and forfeit of any delivery charge. All exchanged merchandise must be for an equal or greater value, subject to delivery charge. No refunds will be issued for a lesser value.

Stock Merchandise Cancellations Stock merchandise orders may be canceled up to 3 days before delivery or pick-up for a full refund.

Special Order Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations Special orders are orders containing merchandise that is not held in regular stock and is ordered at the specific request of the customer. As such, special orders cannot be canceled, returned, or exchanged under any circumstances once Darvin Furniture & Mattress has placed the order with the manufacturer. The customer is required to pay the full balance and arrange for pick-up or delivery of the merchandise within 7 days from notification to the customer that the merchandise is available for pick-up or delivery. The customer's failure to do so shall not relieve the customer of its obligation to pay the entire amount owed for such merchandise.

Bedding Mattresses and boxsprings, once delivered or picked up, are not subject to return or exchange without written return approval from the bedding manufacturer.

Mattress Comfort Exchanges This program requires the purchase and use of a mattress protector from Darvin Furniture & Mattress at the time of the sale.

Mattresses should be completely free of any damage, odors, stains, or vermin infestations, especially those such as blood or urine. Darvin Furniture & Mattress’ delivery personnel will refuse to pick up a mattress that is in unsanitary condition, damaged, or does not meet factory standards for return.

Pictures, Lamps, Accessories, and Area Rugs This merchandise may be returned within 48 hours for different items or a full refund. After 48 hours, these items may not be returned or exchanged.

Clearance & Outlet Center, Floor Samples, Tent Sale, and Warehouse Sale Items This merchandise is sold "As Is" and is not subject to cancellation, return, service, exchange, or refund. It must be picked up within 48 hours, and all sales are final.

Payment Refunds Purchases paid by check will be refunded by check made payable to the customer and issued 14 business days from cancellation or return of merchandise and mailed to the address provided by the customer at the time of order or may be picked up by the customer at Darvin Furniture & Mattress. Purchases paid by credit, debit card, third-party financing, or gift certificate will be credited in the same form as payment was made within 5 business days of cancellation or return of merchandise. Purchases paid by cash will be refunded by check within 5 business days of cancellation or return of merchandise. Darvin Furniture & Mattress reserves the right to request such documentation as deemed necessary by Darvin Furniture & Mattress to verify the identity of persons requesting a return, exchange, or refund.

Refunds, exchanges, reselections, and cancellations will be handled according to our store's policies. By placing an order with Darvin Furniture & Mattress, the customer agrees to these terms and authorizes their credit card company to abide by them.

Limited Warranty

Darvin Furniture & Mattress warrants to the customer that all merchandise sold shall be free from manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship under conditions of normal usage for a period of one year from the date of delivery to the customer.

Darvin Furniture & Mattress, at its sole option, will either repair the defective piece in the home, the company shop or return the product to the manufacturer for repair or replacement. No repairs, exchanges, or returns will be authorized without an in-home inspection.

Exclusions By example and not by way of limitation, this limited warranty does not apply to the following:

  • Wear of upholstery or leather fabrics.
  • Fading from exposure to sunlight on fabric, leather, or wood.
  • Any damage not reported within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Merchandise used commercially.
  • Seat cushions and pillows that soften and wrinkle from normal use.
  • Natural variations in wood color, grains, knotholes, or distressing.
  • Natural color variations in marble, granite, or slate tops.
  • Damage resulting from improper care, accident, negligence, or abuse.
  • Floor Samples, Clearance Center, Tent Sale, and Warehouse Sale merchandise or any other merchandise sold "as is."
  • Clear coat lacquer finishes that are buffed by the manufacturer. The protective coat will exhibit luster swirls. This is not a defect.
  • Pilling, shrinking, tearing, or wrinkling of the fabric.
  • Water damage to wood tabletops.
  • Damage from improper use of cleaning agents.
  • Matching of color on related pieces not ordered at the same time.
  • Leather scars, brands, and natural grain variations.
  • Mattresses with impressions of 1 1/2 inches or less.
  • Damage from fire, water, and acts of nature.
  • Merchandise moved from the original delivery address.

Price Guarantee

In the unlikely event that a customer finds the identical item advertised, displayed, and in stock for less by a local competitor in our trading area with the same delivery, finance, and service terms as Darvin Furniture & Mattress within 30 days from the date of purchase, we will gladly refund the difference. Floor samples, bonus offers, clearance items, going-out-of-business sales, or free offers are not included in this price guarantee.

Accepted Payments / Coupons

We accept debit cards and all major credit cards, such as Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We also offer financing through a third-party bank. Please come to the store if you wish to pay by cash or check.

All online orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase.

Coupon codes will come directly from Darvin Furniture & Mattress. We do not honor coupon codes from third-party websites, as those codes are scams.

Delivery / Pickup Policy

White Glove Delivery Home delivery is available for a modest fee, with same-day* or next-day* delivery on in-stock merchandise, or a scheduled delivery day within a 70-mile radius of our store. Our professional drivers will deliver, set up, and place your furniture in the appropriate room, and a Darvin customer care representative will contact you the same day or after delivery to ensure your satisfaction. If you're outside the 70-mile range, please contact the store before placing your order to discuss delivery options.

All orders must be paid in full 3 days before the scheduled delivery, no C.O.D.s.

Due to the volume of deliveries, Darvin Furniture & Mattress cannot accommodate requests for a specific morning, afternoon, or a particular time slot.

Our distribution center will confirm your scheduled delivery date 48 hours prior to delivery and give you a 3-hour delivery time window. Please understand that some conditions, such as inclement weather, traffic jams, and road construction may delay delivery.

We request a 48-hour notice to make changes to your delivery appointment. If you cancel within 48 hours or are unavailable at the time of delivery, a restocking or handling fee equal to the delivery charge may be assessed.

Clear the area where you would like your new furniture placed. Our delivery teams are not allowed to set up electronics or move existing furniture.

Inspect your furniture at the time of delivery. Defective merchandise and home damage must be reported within 48 hours.

Order Pickup Our Distribution Center in Mokena is conveniently located just 15 minutes away from our showroom if you prefer to take your furniture home with you on the same day. The Distribution Center is open for pickups Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Please note that it is closed on Sundays.

To pick up merchandise, a customer receipt and photo ID are required. If the name on the ID does not match the name on the order, the designated pick-up person's name must be listed in the comments; otherwise, the merchandise will not be released.

Payments made by check are subject to management approval and bank verification.

Pick-ups are conducted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The customer is responsible for any product set-up or assembly.

Darvin Furniture & Mattress associates will help with the loading process. However, they are not responsible for securing the items or for any damage or injuries that may occur to the merchandise, customer, or the customer's vehicle.

Order Delays Approximate delivery dates are based on standard manufacturer lead times and are subject to change. Darvin Furniture & Mattress cannot be held responsible for delays in transportation, fabric shortages, production, or other acts that may result in a delay of a customer's order. Failure to deliver your merchandise by the estimated delivery date will not give the customer the right to cancel the order without the express written consent of Darvin Furniture & Mattress.

Restraint Devices Whether Darvin Furniture & Mattress delivers the customer’s furniture purchased, or not, Darvin Furniture & Mattress has not agreed to, will not, and has no responsibility whatsoever for the installation of any and all so-called "anti-tipping" restraint devices, equipment, hardware, or apparatus provided and included with the furniture purchased solely by the furniture's manufacturer. In addition, Darvin Furniture & Mattress is not responsible for any manufactured products not providing "anti-tipping" restraints from the manufacturer.

The customer agrees to the terms and conditions published above when they place a completed order with Darvin Furniture & Mattress.
